Without a computer, the world would have still been different. This sophisticated machine is considered to be of the the inventions that has drastically changed the social life and spurred the humanity's advancement. Thus, computer engineering may first of all be defined as an engine for innovations. This is a dynamic professional field that offers wide career opportunities.
Computer Engineering study programme unites both electronics engineering and informatics fields and is the basis for digital technologies, computer networks and computer systems progress. Computer engineers create both hardware and software equipment: specialized embedded computers or personal computers, data centers, and cloud computing solutions.
With the advancement of technologies, computer systems progress, which promotes the demand for computer engineering specialists.
Embedded computers have destined the advent of smart devices, therefore, embedded computer systems are an equally important scientific achievement. Embedded computers help control robots, automobiles, sophisticated production processes or smart houses. Already now, there are cars that do not need a driver, or washing machines that independently choose washing and drying regimes, or refrigerators that set the necessary temperature.
