{"id":157,"date":"2017-11-10T14:15:18","date_gmt":"2017-11-10T13:15:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emagister.com.co\/blog\/?p=157"},"modified":"2018-05-02T15:16:35","modified_gmt":"2018-05-02T13:16:35","slug":"investigadores-de-la-eia-ganan-el-premio-nacional-de-innovacion-en-dispositivos-medicos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emagister.com.co\/blog\/investigadores-de-la-eia-ganan-el-premio-nacional-de-innovacion-en-dispositivos-medicos\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigadores de la EIA ganan el Premio Nacional de Innovaci\u00f3n en Dispositivos M\u00e9dicos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En la tarde de hoy la Asociaci\u00f3n Nacional de Empresarios de Colombia \u2013ANDI\u2013 anunci\u00f3 que los investigadores de la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com.co\/universidad-eia-cursos-64926-centrodetalles.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Universidad EIA<\/a>, Andr\u00e9s Guerra Ceballos y Yeison Montagut Ferizzola, obtuvieron el primer lugar en el Premio Nacional de Innovaci\u00f3n en Dispositivos M\u00e9dicos.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto ganador se denomina \u201cDispositivo para realizar terapia respiratoria a pacientes con asma y EPOC \u2013Enfermedad Pulmonar Obstructiva Cr\u00f3nica\u2013\u201d y tuvo su origen en 2014, como trabajo de grado presentada por Andr\u00e9s Guerra, entonces estudiante de Ingenier\u00eda Biom\u00e9dica de la EIA. Luego de esto, continu\u00f3 como proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n adscrito a la Universidad. \u201cHoy en d\u00eda, se tiene desarrollado un prototipo funcional que entrar\u00e1 en fase experimental y desde mayo de 2016 se present\u00f3 una solicitud de patente ante la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio que ya se encuentra en fase de solicitud internacional\u201d, apunt\u00f3 el profesor Montagut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El jurado estuvo compuesto por Jorge Reynolds Pombo, ingeniero colombiano conocido mundialmente por ser el inventor del primer marcapasos artificial externo; Juan Gabriel Cendales, gerente de la Cl\u00ednica Las Am\u00e9ricas; Steven Bipes, vicepresidente de Advamed \u2013Asociaci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00eda M\u00e9dica Avanzada\u2013; y Bruce Mac Master, presidente de ANDI.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El dispositivo laureado lleva por nombre \u201cSoluBreathe\u201d y es un equipo conectado a una aplicaci\u00f3n para dispositivos m\u00f3viles. La app entrega instrucciones audiovisuales para la realizaci\u00f3n de la terapia respiratoria (basada en los principios terap\u00e9uticos de PEP \u2013Presi\u00f3n Espiratoria Positiva\u2013 y OPEP \u2013Presi\u00f3n Espiratoria Positiva Oscilante\u2013) y el dispositivo las reproduce.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com.co\/universidad-eia-cursos-64926-centrodetalles.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-161 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.emagister.com.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/EIA-300x175.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s, el aparato cuenta con sensores que permiten medir el grado obstructivo de las v\u00edas a\u00e9reas del usuario. Con esto, se dirigen alertas tanto al m\u00e9dico como al paciente para tomar medidas orientadas a prevenir episodios de crisis y disminuir o eliminar la necesidad de acudir a los centros de asistencia m\u00e9dica en estos casos. \u201cLas crisis respiratorias solo se atienden en urgencias y las personas tienen que ser hospitalizadas aproximadamente tres d\u00edas. Incluso, en algunos casos, los pacientes requieren ser remitidos a una unidad de cuidados intensivos donde son asistidos con ventilaci\u00f3n\u201d, explic\u00f3 Montagut.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En el mercado ya existen dispositivos portables capaces de medir el nivel de obstrucci\u00f3n de las v\u00edas respiratorias, sin embargo, SoluBreathe presenta la novedad de generar alertas y dirigir sesiones de terapia. Gracias a Solubreathe, el m\u00e9dico, de manera remota, puede monitorizar el estado evolutivo y obstructivo del paciente y el cumplimiento de las terapias por parte de este, incluso la frecuencia con que las realiza.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cUno de los mayores impactos de este proyecto est\u00e1 en que permite disminuir costos tanto para los pacientes como para los hospitales y busca que los pacientes dejen medicamentos y mejoren su funci\u00f3n pulmonar\u201d, apunt\u00f3 el investigador Andr\u00e9s Guerra quien a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que al ser la multinacional Johnson &amp; Johnson la patrocinadora de este galard\u00f3n, hay una gran oportunidad de llevar el producto al mercado con su acompa\u00f1amiento y padrinazgo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h5>Fuente: <a
